Moving On!

Date: 3rd Feb 2019 @ 11:35am

After enjoying every year of being a Teacher (since 1983) and a Headteacher for 20 years I have decided that the time is right for me to retire. You can imagine what a difficult decision this is, as I love being surrounded by our wonderful children, families, staff and the wider school community.

I would like to reassure everybody that the Governors are working hard behind the scenes to manage the recruitment process to ensure that we get the best Headteacher possible to lead our fabulous school, from September 2019. The Governors will make time to talk to our children, parents and staff to involve you in the process and listen to the kind of Headteacher you want for Willow Wood Community Primary School.

Hopefully the new Headteacher will be appointed before Easter and then I shall do whatever I can to support a smooth transition. As you know, Willow Wood is close to my heart and I am convinced that with everyone pulling together it will continue to go from strength to strength.

In the meantime it is business as usual with a focus, as always, on learning, fun and being the best we can be!
