On line learning week beginning 9th November 2020

This week we are going to be continuing to look at 2D shapes to make sure we really know and understand them as well as thinking about remembrance day.

Have a look at this beautiful clip.

Talk to your adult about the soldiers and why we wear poppies.

Can you make a poppy, either draw one, paint one, or make a model one maybe using an egg box or a cup cake case

Sit quietly in your house or garden. What sounds can you hear? Can you draw a picture of the sounds you can hear? Are they loud or quiet sounds

Have you got any toy animals? can you hide them in a bag, before you show your adult the animal, make the sound it makes and get your grown up to guess what the animal is.

How many shapes can you find in your house. Can you draw pictures of the different shapes you find.

Can you find your favourite story and retell it. Ask your grown up to video it and put it on tapestry.

Can you practice putting your shoes on the right feet and fastening them all by yourself

Can you look in your garden, what signs of Autumn can you see?

Watch this clip for ideas.

Can you match the shapes to the correct monster, tell your adult what the shapes are called and how many sides and corners they have.

Please will you take  a photograph or video of your child doing these activities (if they are well enough) and either upload it to Tapestry or email it to caroline.smith@willowwood.cheshire.sch.uk
