On line learning week beginning 11th January 2021

This half term our topic is ‘not all super heroes wear capes!’ We are going to be thinking about people who help us, how they help us and what they do.

This week we are going to be starting off by thinking about all the different kinds of people who can help us, as well as counting objects to 5 and then 10 and beyond saying one number name for each object.

Tell your adult all the different types of people who help us? If your adult writes them down (adults don't help them, I want see what they know) and then put them on tapestry so I can see how many you know.

Have a listen to this song, can you join in the singing and the makaton signs? Get your adult to video you.

Can you fasten your coat yourself? The weather is very cold at the moment so we definitely need our coats fastening, can you have a try and ask your adult to video it and put it on tapestry?

Can you sing along with the jolly phonics songs and practice the actions? If you can do that have a go at writing these sounds down. Remember where you start writing when you write each sound.

Can you find some objects you can count? Can you point to each object and say a number name for each? Can your adult video while you are counting and upload it to tapestry?

Try this on line counting game, can you count out the under the sea creatures and match them to the correct numeral?

Can you have a go at this activity? Ask your adult to read the sentence and you try to click to match the right clothes.

Can you draw a picture of your favourite person who helps us?Remember, head, body, arms, legs and face.

What colour clothes do they wear?

Don't forget to put a photograph of your picture  on tapestry

How old are you? Do you think you can have a go at writing your age?Can you draw the same number of objects as your age?

Don’t forget to get a picture uploaded onto tapestry.

Please will you take a photograph or video of your child doing these activities and upload it to Tapestry.
