Creepy Crawly Show Assembly 14.10.14

What a spectacular experience!!  Our wonderful, brave and inquisitive children had giant black cockroaches crawling along their arms, corn snakes around their necks and an enormous terrapin scampering around them.  We learned that the Giant African Snail (and other small snails) would only travel along a wet surface and that their under body part was called a foot!  Amazing!!!  Some of the children let the snails crawl on their hands.  Mr Burgess had a cockroach climbing all over his face – much to the disgust and amusement of the children (and Staff).  We were introduced to a cute, spiky creature from Madagascar.  Craig (the presenter) invited the children to guess what it was called.  NOT a hedgehog, nor a porcupine, it was nothing like a skunk!!  This unusually sociable creature was called a Tenrec.   Look it up!!  We have!!!

Thanks to Mrs Nicola Bogue – our Parent Governor for organising this thoroughly entertaining and informative treat for us!!!
