StarLab

Lesson: Science

This week we have had a special visitor  - Astronaut Anthony visited us from Manchester Metropolitan University, and brought the moon and stars to us!

We had the opportunity to enter the StarLab.  Inside the StarLab we helped Baby Bear fly into Space and got to see the star constellations and some of the planets that are visible in the night sky.  It was very dark in space, but we could see over 3000 different stars and got to learn some of their names.  Did you know that there is a star called Beetle Juice  (Betelgeuse)?  It is easy to spot as it is really bright and is the left shoulder in the constellation of Orion!

Thank you to Astronaut Anthony and Baby Bear - it was an amazing afternoon!
