Helping at Home!

Please read with your child every night at home to help them to become amazing, independent readers.  Please log your child's reading in their yellow diary.  Please aim to read 5 x per week to help them become fluent readers. Your child will be given homework on a Thursday (Juniper) and a Friday (Mulberry) and should be returned by the following Wednesday.

Counting to and from 100 from a given number and practising counting in 2s, 5s and 10s will help your children to develop their maths skills.

Attendance is so important to help your child make amazing progress - please make sure your child is here every day, on time with all of the equipment they need to learn! 

P.E 

Please make sure that your child wears their P.E kit in school every week - black shorts/tracksuit bottoms, black trainers, a red school t-shirt and their school P.E. hoodie. No coloured t-shirts or leggings please. Both classes will have P.E (Gymnastics) on a Wednesday for this half term. 

Science

In Science this term, we are studying Plants and Seasonal Changes. This will involve the children observing changes in the school grounds.  Go on a woodland walk and see the changes in the Autumn.  

History

The children will be studying the past and how things such as toys, homes and schools have changed since their grandparents were children. 

Geography

In Geography, the children will be looking at the aerial view of the school grounds, find different key features in the plaground and draw their own maps of the playground.

Religious Education

In RE, the children will be learning about 'Belonging'.  They will be looking at Baptism and thinking about how Christians show that they belong to God.
