Archeologists for a day!

Lesson: History

Year 3 pupils and Lilac Class had a great time this afternoon with our visiting archaeologist. We unearthed shells, bones, pottery and tools from the Stone Age.

We worked in groups to 'dig' and then displayed our artefacts like a mini museum. We visited each other's museums and looked at the objects they had found.

There were things in each of the Stone Age periods of time that were different.We labelled them:

New Stone Age, Middle Stone Age and later Stone Age. (Neolithic Mesolithic and Paleolithic times).
