We love play dough!

Today Mrs Ridgway helped us to make our own play dough!

These are the ingredients we needed,

Flour,

Salt,

Oil,

Hot water (Mrs Ridgway kept hold of this)

Food colouring

Cream of tartar

 

We helped to measure out the salt

 

 

We mixed the salt, flour and cream of tartar together

 

 

Then, Mrs Ridgway added the food colouring and the hot water and began to stir the mixture together

 

When it had cooled down a little bit we helped to mix it. It was quite difficult to mix.

 

Finally we kneaded it to make it all mix together properly

 

We love playing with the play dough

 

If you would like to make play dough at home, here is our recipe

 

2 cups of plain flour

Half a cup of salt

2 tablespoons of cream of tartar

2 tablespoons of oil

Upto 1 and a half cups of hot water with food colouring.

 

Mix the flour, salt and cream of tartar, add the oil and mix. Slowly pour in the water (with food colouring) a little at a time until it reaches the correct consistency.
